The music is only part of the Embark experience. Throughout Groove Cruise, Captains will have opportunities to connect with Embark artists beyond their sets through a variety of artist-hosted activities. From sports and wellness to tastings and creative experiences, these activities offer a chance to experience a different side of the artists behind the music.
Select experiences will require advance sign-ups, with limited spots available.
Artist-Hosted Experiences Include:
Whether you’re challenging an artist to a game, unwinding with yoga, getting creative, or raising a glass together, these experiences bring the Embark community even closer beyond the dance floor.
Trance was born in the 1990s across European dancefloors combining hypnotic rhythms, melodic builds, and euphoric releases into a sound designed to completely immerse the listener. It paved the way for EDM to enter the mainstream electronic music culture, with the help of Groove Cruise 2024 headliner, Tiësto.
As trance spread across clubs, raves, and festivals, new styles began to emerge. Uplifting trance became known for emotional melodies and soaring breakdowns, progressive trance embraced deeper and more gradual builds, while psytrance introduced faster tempos and hypnotic, psychedelic elements.
No matter where you find trance on Groove Cruise, you can expect to lose yourself to the beat and Embark on a journey that takes you deeper into the sound.
Trance continues to hold a special place on Groove Cruise, with some of the most dedicated, longtime Captains calling the trance community home. Their passion and energy have helped shape Embark into what it is today. Whether you’ve been sailing with us for years or are just discovering trance, Embark welcomes you into a community built on connection, shared energy, and a love for the music.
