Whet Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to excite the lives of those less fortunate, and positively affect an entire generation in a brand new way. Whet Foundation offers exciting experiences to deserving children in South Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico.
Whet Foundation believes in making a positive impact through various initiatives including, Destination Donation, Mental Health Awareness, Celebration of Life, Community Captains, and Ocean Conservation. Through Destination Donation, Whet Foundation gives back to the destinations visited by Whet Travel attendees, providing essential items to underprivileged children. Whet Foundation prioritizes Mental health awareness, offering uplifting sessions for those in the music industry. Celebration of Life is where loved ones no longer with us are celebrated and participants have the opportunity to share their story. Lastly, Whet Foundation is dedicated to ocean conservation, organizing immersive events to raise awareness and support research efforts.

Whet Foundation Destination Donation initiative strives to positively affect deserving children in the destinations in which the attendees of Whet Travel events visit, providing essential items to underprivileged children. Each Groove Cruise, the Whet Foundation organizes a Destination Donation trip to visit underprivileged children in underprivileged areas aiming to make a tangible difference in each and every one of their lives. Captains (Groove Cruise Attendees) are asked to bring essential items to donate such as school supplies, clothing, and other items generally for orphanages, schools, or a local charity. Many of the volunteers rate their Whet Foundation Destination Donation experience as the highlight of their cruise.

Celebration of Life will be hosted to celebrate our loved ones no longer with us. The celebration consists of a biodegradable wreath and biodegradable note cards, where participants have the opportunity to share their story, write a message to their loved ones and put their message in the wreath to be thrown overboard. In many cultures the ocean is one of the primary factors that made life possible on earth. Sending off the departed into the ocean symbolizes the end of physical life and the beginning of spiritual rebirth.
Each year, we collaborate with a mental health organization to carefully curate enriching artist-hosted panels and workshops for our captains. These sessions focus on fostering balance, identifying symptoms, meditation, and other helpful tools, including the practice of journaling. Our overarching objective is to foster a supportive, compassionate, and interconnected community. Stay tuned for additional details coming soon.
