Cruise with Confidence & Best Price Guarantee

To ease concerns of this unique time in the travel and events industries due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we at Whet Travel have created a Cruise with Confidence policy to protect those who book. Meaning, if our sailing is postponed or canceled:

  • You will receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) for the full amount with Whet Travel
  • FCC valid for 2 years
  • Your money is protected
  • Valid to anyone who is booked for Groove Cruise Cabo 2022

We have also created a Best Price Guarantee, ensuring:

  • All guests booked are getting the best price possible
  • If we offer a lower price on the same Stateroom type, you can contact us to get your reservation adjusted
  • Note: this does not apply to cruise line prices as Groove Cruise is a private charter and is very different from a typical cruise

There is also ‘Cancel for Any Reason’ Travel insurance via Travel Guard is also available (for most states) for additional protection. If you are concerned about a personal or family emergency, a work situation that may arise or a concern if a pet is sick (literally any reason), you can get the majority of your money back prior to sailing. TRAVEL GUARD

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic. Therefore, any losses for trip cancellation, trip interruption and/or trip delay caused by or resulting from quarantine due to COVID-19 is not considered “Unforeseen” and will not be covered under the terms and conditions of this insurance policy.

However, this does not affect any Medical Benefits available under the insurance policy. If you contract COVID-19 prior to departure, you would be covered for Trip Cancellation, if you have a confirmed and documented diagnosis and/or you are medically unable to travel at the time of departure due to COVID-19. If you contract COVID-19 while on a covered trip, you would be covered for Medical Expense and Trip Interruption/Curtailment benefits if you have a confirmed and documented diagnosis.

Cancellation Policy:

ALL DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE! There are NO exceptions to our cancellation policies. We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance! If the cruise is canceled by us, you will be entitled to receive an alternative sailing. Any future cruise credit will expire in one year from the date received. If you need to make any other arrangements for your credit, please contact Captain Support and they will review your reservation and requests on a case by case basis.
Cancellation policy for 2022 Groove Cruise Cabo Pre-Sale Deposits Only:  If you placed a pre-sale deposit, you can cancel up until 2/3/2022 for a full refund. On or after 2/4/2022, ALL payments (including your pre-sale deposit) are non-refundable.
Cancelling your Groove Cruise Cabo:All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Please email CaptainSupport@WhetTravel.com to cancel your reservations.

Why can't I receive a refund instead of future cruise credit?

Our Terms and Conditions that each guest signs when booking their reservation states  – ALL DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE! There are NO exceptions to our cancellation policies. We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance! If the cruise is canceled by us, you will be entitled to receive an alternative sailing.Please note, we do not get refunds from the cruise line, or any vendor we are working with and will continue to plan the next event so it is the best event as planned.

Does a Future Cruise Credit expire?

Yes, All future cruise credits expire in one year from the date received. If you need to make other arrangements for your credit, please call captain support (877- GET-WHET) and they will be happy to work with you on a case by case basis.

Can you give your room to another person?

Name changes are allowed as long as one original guest stays in the room. The Lead Guest is not allowed to change their name within the reservation. At least one “original” and/or lead guest name must remain on the reservation. If all original guests cancel, this is considered a full cancellation without refund, and name changes will not be allowed. An original name is one that has been added to your reservation at the time of your initial deposit or payment.

How can you become an Affiliate?

How can I be considered as a DJ or performer onboard?

Are there additional fees (aka gratuities)?

Norwegian Cruise Line charges a mandatory, non-refundable service fee to all passengers for tips/gratuities for ship staff. This is not included in your cruise fare.
A charge of $78.15 per guest ($15.63 per guest per day) for staterooms. This will be added to your shipboard account by Norwegian Cruise Line when you board the ship. This service fee is non-refundable, regardless of the reason. Service fees are subject to change.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes! Groove Cruise is non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation. We highly recommend the purchase of Travel Guard Travel Insurance to protect you against financial loss due non-refundable costs and fees due to unexpected cancellations and travel emergencies.For your convenience, you will be presented with your Travel Insurance options after you’ve booked your cabin.

Travel insurance also protects you against emergencies during travel, such as trip interruption, trip delay, missed/canceled flights, lost or stolen baggage/personal items, illness/injury and much more. For a complete list of covered reasons, please contact Travel Guard directly at 1-866-375-2546.

We also offer an optional Cancel for Any Reason policy that must be purchased within 14 days of your initial payment or deposit. If you have to cancel for a non-covered reason, the Cancel for Any Reason option will reimburse you 50% of your non-refundable costs; covered reasons will receive a 100% refund. Travel Guard will determine the amount of your refund based on the documentation you provide to them.

In the event of cancellation, you must first contact Whet Travel in writing by sending an email to CaptainSupport@WhetTravel.com. Then, you must contact the Travel Guard directly to submit a claim and request a refund.

Your Groove Cruise rate does not include:

• Alcoholic beverages, specialty drinks, or bottle service
• Mandatory, non-refundable service fees are charged by the cruise line. These fees are charged to your onboard account when you board the ship.The service fees cover tips/gratuities for cabin stewards and restaurant servers. Fees vary by cruise line and sailing, and are subject to change without notice.

Do we offer payment plans?

There are three payment plans available for Groove Cruise Cabo: Pay in Full, Monthly Payment Plans, or Deposits + 50/50 Plan. The date you make your reservation will ultimately determine your total deposit due at the time of booking and the subsequent payment dates. There are also Uplift payment plans available where you can pay installments over time.

I want my stateroom to be close to my friends. How do I request that?

You can choose and select your stateroom online. If you and your friends are booking together it should be easy to select and choose cabins near each other. Requests to be located next to your friends should be made at the time of booking. We will do everything we can to get you as close to your friends as possible, however, the earlier you book, the easier it is to accommodate these requests. Special requests are not guaranteed. Is there an age requirement?

To sail on Groove Cruise, you must be 21 years of age or older.
