Whet Foundation

The Whet Foundation is a Florida based 501c3 organization that offers grass roots disaster relief for those experiencing hardships and creates exciting experiences for underprivileged children in South Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico. Through our Community Captains and Destination Donation programs, we strive to excite the lives of those less fortunate in a fun and engaging way while positively affecting an entire generation.

Through the Whet Foundation, Whet Travel gives back to each destination visited via the Destination Donation excursions. All sailing “Captains” are asked to bring donations of school supplies, clothing, and other items needed for orphanages, schools, and/or a local charity that works with underprivileged children. Whet Foundation volunteers help fill backpacks with the donated items, then to deliver to the children and spend time interacting with them via art projects, music, fun activities, facility repairs, and more. Many of the volunteers rate their Whet Foundation experience as the highlight of their cruise.

Sign up below to volunteer for the Whet Foundation’s Destination Donation to benefit the kids at Solmar Foundation and Casa Hogar in association with Heart4Cabo.

Volunteers will be able to give donated items to the kids, and engage in activities involving arts & crafts, soccer, dressing up, face paint and more.

All volunteers will meet in the Atrium on October 21, 2022 at 9:30 AM and leave Casa Hogar at 1:00 PM.

We are looking to collect monetary donations through gofundme and the items below to donate to the kids from Solamar Foundation and Casa Hogar.
Donations will be collected in the Atrium at the Captain Support desk on Deck 7 mid.
